Holiday Club was a great success.

We had about 50 kids attending (40 - 45 on any given day). They learnt new songs, made picture frames and key rings, listened to stories from the pastor, enjoyed and acted out Bible stories, played soccer and other games and devoured piles of sandwiches, muffins, biscuits and oranges prepared by our hard working volunteers. (Thank you, all those members who sent food and drinks to feed the hungry hordes!)

A special treat was to have a number of very disfigured burn victims from "Children of Fire" join us during the week. Thank you, Marie, for arranging this and bringing them. They were made  to feel welcome by both children and teachers and had a wonderful time, while  our children learnt compassion and to accept people who look different from them. We would now like to collect toys and clothing to send to the home.

The concert on Friday night for the parents and again on Sabbath during Sabbath School for the members was a great success. It was not a professional performance but the children all played their parts well and sang the songs with great enthusiasm. They felt special dressed in their costumes up in front of the audience.

Thank you, Boni, for having the courage to organise the event, get us all motivated, write the play and some of the songs despite nursing sick kids! You are an inspiration! Thanks, Gary, for always being available to make it special with your music-magic. Without you we couldn't capture that vibe. Thank you to each teacher and their assistants who got up early on those freezing days to run the programme, thanks  Leander, Ottilia and Sonia for keeping us supplied with snacks and drinks and for helping out in any other way you could.

Praise the Lord, we have a few non-Adventist children who now happily attend kids-church and Sabbath School as a result.  Keep them in your prayers.
